BUYING GUIDE 2025–2026
Overview
The Buying Guide is an offline promotional interface for Smart TV screens. I led the design of the interface and operation dashboard, rolling out across 8+ countries with a reusable component system.
I was charged in a designer in the Samsung SmartThings Promotion Campaign. This project was designed to let customers, who visit offline home appliance stores, experience everyday life with SmartThings.
Interactions & Components
What was the challenge?
We faced 3 crucial challenges in the project since it's run by international company, Samsung.
① Multi-language support across 8+ countries required careful localization of all interface elements.
② Cross-device consistency between Samsung Smart TV screens and tablet PCs demanded unified interaction patterns.
③ A reusable component system was essential to sustain the campaign across multiple seasons without full redesign.
optimized interfaces
For the TV screen, I designed an interaction system where 3D graphic assets' coordinates drive a natural exploration flow — allowing users to discover product features through intuitive navigation. On the tablet PC, I established component guidelines and interaction patterns that ensured a seamless experience across both devices.
Documentation
sustainable guide
To support smooth operation and management, I created detailed functional specification documents for each screen. This ensured that non-design stakeholders could understand, operate, and update the content without design dependency.
